1 Billion Followers Summit 2027: a visitor's guide to Dubai

The 1 Billion Followers Summit returns for its fifth edition from 8 to 10 January 2027, across Jumeirah Emirates Towers, DIFC and the Museum of the Future in Dubai. Organised by the UAE Government Media Office, it brings together content creators, platforms, media companies and investors, with hundreds of speakers. This short guide covers dates, tickets, getting there and where to stay.

Key facts

  • Dates: 8 to 10 January 2027.
  • Venues: Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the Museum of the Future, all close together on Sheikh Zayed Road.
  • Theme: Content for Good.
  • Tickets: buy on the official tickets page. Check there for passes and prices.
  • Who it's for: content creators, social media platforms, digital media companies, investors, entrepreneurs and startups.

Getting there

  • Metro: Emirates Towers Station on the Red Line. A bridge connects the station to the Museum of the Future, and Jumeirah Emirates Towers is next door. DIFC is a short walk or one stop away at Financial Centre Station.
  • Bus: routes 27, 29 and X22 stop at the Museum of the Future.
  • Taxi: the easiest option from most hotels. Careem and Dubai Taxi both work across the city.
  • By car: parking around the Museum of the Future is very limited, and valet is available. Expect it to be busy during the summit, so the Metro is usually quicker.

Where to stay nearby

  • DIFC and Za'abeel: walking distance to the venues, with plenty of restaurants and a business feel.
  • Downtown Dubai: a few Metro stops away, around the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. Lively in the evenings.
  • Business Bay: next to Downtown, with a mix of hotels and serviced apartments along the canal.

Buying while you're in Dubai?

If you're looking at property during your visit, check the real return before you commit. Our calculator shows the net yield after every cost, or message us about a specific unit.

Making the most of the trip

  • Weather: January is one of the UAE's coolest months. National Center of Meteorology figures put average January highs across the country at about 21 to 26°C and lows at about 12 to 15°C, and foggy mornings are common. Bring a light layer for the evening and the air-conditioned halls.
  • Visas: some nationalities get a visa on arrival, others need to apply before travelling. Check the official UAE government portal u.ae. Your passport should be valid for at least six months.
  • Dress: smart casual is the norm. Comfortable shoes help, as sessions move between three venues.
  • Dining: DIFC's Gate Avenue and Downtown Dubai are both close, with options from quick coffee to long dinners.
  • Stay a few extra days: the Dubai Shopping Festival runs until 17 January 2027.

Thinking about Dubai property while you're here?

The summit sits in Dubai's financial district, a few minutes from Downtown and Business Bay. If you are already in the city, it is a good moment to see neighbourhoods in person, meet agents and developers face to face and compare price, rent, service charges and vacancy before you decide. It is worth working out the net return, not just the headline yield.
