Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship 2026: a visitor's guide
The Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship brings the DP World Tour back to Yas Links on Yas Island from 5 to 8 November 2026. It's the first of the two season-ending DP World Tour Play-Offs, with the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai the following week. This guide covers dates, tickets, getting there and where to stay.
Key facts

- Venue: Yas Links, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
- Organisers: Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the DP World Tour, with Aldar as the new title partner.

Getting there
- Parking, shuttle and gate details are not on the official pages yet. Check the DP World Tour event page before you go.
- Taxi and ride-hailing: Careem, Uber and Yango all work in Abu Dhabi. Yas Island is about 20 km from Abu Dhabi city.
- From Dubai: about 1 to 1.5 hours by taxi, depending on traffic.
Where to stay nearby
- Yas Island: the closest option, with Yas Links, Yas Mall and the theme parks on the island.
- Saadiyat Island: a quieter island with beaches and the Mamsha area, a drive away from Yas.
- Abu Dhabi city: more hotel choice and the main city sights.
- Dubai: works well if you're staying on for the DP World Tour Championship the following week, but plan for the drive.
Buying while you're in Dubai?
If you're looking at property during your visit, check the real return before you commit. Our calculator shows the net yield after every cost, or message us about a specific unit.
Making the most of the trip
- Weather: early November is still warm. Daytime highs can be in the mid 30s°C early in the month, with cooler evenings. Bring a hat, sunscreen and water for a day on the course.
- Visas: some nationalities get a visa on arrival, others need to apply before travelling. Check u.ae. Your passport should be valid for at least six months.
- Make a week of it: the DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai follows straight after, so many visitors split the trip between the two cities.
Thinking about Dubai property while you're here?
Many golf visitors fly through Dubai or stay on for the season finale there. If you're thinking about property, a November visit is a good time to see Dubai neighbourhoods in person, meet agents and developers face to face and compare price, rent, service charges and vacancy. It's worth working out the net return, not just the headline yield, before you commit.
